101 Movies I Need to See

I have never been a film buff.  Movies never really caught my eye, and I have missed many that are considered classics, especially movies that were simply released before I was born. After years of hearing people gasp or moan at the movies I had never seen, I decided to make a list.

After consulting friends, family, and coworkers, that list has swelled up to over 600 movies, however, I’ve chosen the cream of the crop.

The 101 Movies I Need to See:

I plan to watch two movies a week, making this a year long project just to get started.  I’ll be posting my opinions on all of these classics as I go. We’ll see if they deserve their place.

If you have any suggestions to add to my list, feel free to give it. Just realize it will probably go on the BIG list of 600 movies. Also realize these are movies I need to see, ones that I didn’t catch in my lifetime. So ones I’ve already seen like Austin Powers, Back to the Future, Terminator, and Fight Club don’t make the list as I’ve seen them already.

My rating: Let me explain my rating system first for this little list. Since these are all supposed to be fantastic movies, the ratings are a bit different.
* – 1 star – A Bad Movie
** – 2 star – An Okay Movie
*** – 3 Star – A Great Movie, but undeserving of it’s Legendary status
**** – 4 Star – A Legendary movie, but with some flaws
***** – 5 Star – A Perfect Movie

Here we go…
